Just another Blogtown NZ weblog

Back for more

Life has a habit of lauging at you, doesn’t it?  If you happen to ever look back to the inception of this blog you will see that I totally cocked up the first post and it is there at least twice.

This is possibly the perfect procrastination.  I’m studying marketing communications and one of the very media I am looking at and writing about (blogs, media fragmentation, power shift to the consumer, etc, etc) is the very thing that is keeping me from writing and learning about it.  Nevermind.

I have come to the conclusion that after a Sunday of reading notes, washing cars, supermarket shopping and jandal purchasing, I don’t have anything terribly important to say therefore my intention of writing something flash on a daily basis is likely to remain unfulfilled. I hereby resolve not to bore the reader with inane bollocks and to only log on when I have something on note to record. See you in a few months then, probably… when I’ve got time to watch the news.

It’s not easy to sell a car in today’s market, by the way.  It’s really difficult if said car idles like crap and has a squealing fan belt.

Here we are

So here we are.  Until I saw a million or so different themes for my blog I thought I was still quite up to date with what’s going on.  Clearly that’s not the case….

It’s early on Saturday morning and I’m doing a spot of study today at Auckland Universtity – not that I’m what you’d call a student, more a middle of the road kind of person trying to:

a) be more convincing at work,

b) improve the CV (this was more important when there were real jobs to apply for…),

c) finally give my mum what she’s be waiting for all these years and

d) a + b + ? = $$$$

So it’s off to pursue academic excellence that I go.  I guess I’ll be back later to muse on my day.  I wonder if I’ll do this for more than a few days?  Will I even return to write more?  Will I hit the wrong button, lose it all and give up in in frustration?  I’ll have to try and make it interesting…
